Q: What sizes do you do?

85cm × 200cm: standard, Premium and Black Carbon; 100cm × 200cm; 150cm × 200cm, our widest; A3 desktop: 297 × 420mm; A4 desktop: 210 × 297mm

Q: Does any of my design get hidden in the base?

No. Your visible artwork is always the full 2000mm tall. We add an extra 150–200mm at the bottom in production, which stays inside the roller to keep the banner under tension. It's never seen once the banner is up.

Q: What file format is best?

A print-ready PDF at size is best. AI, EPS, PNG, JPEG and TIFF all work too. CMYK gives the most accurate colour. If your file's a bit odd, send it anyway: we'll shout if anything needs fixing before we print.

Q: What resolution should my artwork be?

150–300dpi at full size. Use original images, not screenshots or anything that's been through WhatsApp. At 2m tall, soft images show.

Six things to get right.

File type

PDF at finished size is safest (PDF/X-1a). PNG, JPEG and TIFF are fine too.

Size

Supply at finished size: an 85cm banner is 850×2000mm. Don't add the hidden roller section, we do that.

Bleed

Not required. 3mm is welcome if you have it.

Safe area

Keep text and logos 30–50mm in from every edge.

Text size

Main messages 70pt or bigger so they read from across a hall. Nothing under 6pt.

Images

150–300dpi originals. Screenshots and WhatsApp-compressed images will print soft.

It goes into production on Monday, ships Monday and arrives Tuesday on next working day delivery. Collection is ready Monday.

85cm or 85cm Premium: what's the difference?

Same size, same 1.5kg. The standard 85cm is great for one-off events and promotions. The Premium has a heavy-duty mechanism built for repeat use, with anti-scratch, water-resistant print and a very low failure rate. If it's going out every week, get the Premium.

What are desktop roller banners for?

Reception desks, salon chairs, hotel check-in, shop counters, café menus: anywhere you need a small, tidy sign that gets noticed. They weigh less than a banana and take up almost no counter space.

Does any of my design get hidden in the base?

No. Your visible artwork is always the full 2000mm tall. We add an extra 150–200mm at the bottom in production, which stays inside the roller to keep the banner under tension. It's never seen once the banner is up.

Do I need to add that extra bit at the bottom?

No. Send your design at the visible size and we add the extra ourselves. That's Sam in design's job, and if you take it off him he'll have nothing to do all day. Don't make Sam redundant.

Do I need bleed?

No. Send it at finished size and we handle the setup. If your background runs to the edge, 3mm extra is welcome. Keep text, logos and QR codes 30–50mm in from the edges.

What file format is best?

Yes. Download as PDF Print at the finished size, with high-res images. Tick crop marks and bleed if you have the option.
